EpiPen Auto-Injector and its parent company, Pfizer, have entered the 2014 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series by becoming title sponsor for Alex Tagliani's No 18 car.
This will be the second year they've partnered with Tagliani in NASCAR.
Racing begins in May and runs through September, with dates throughout Canada as well as televised appearances and races. In addition, Tagliani will tour schools in Montreal, Toronto and Edmonton to raise awareness about allergies.
Racer suffers from nut allergy
Tagliani himself has a severe allergy to peanuts and tree nuts. "As someone with a severe allergy to peanuts and tree nuts, I am extremely happy to once again be teaming up with Pfizer Canada and Anaphylaxis Canada to raise awareness of food allergies and anaphylaxis," said Tagliani in a release. "I'm looking forward to an exciting summer of racing with the NASCAR Canadian Tire series and meeting fans right across Canada."
