AllergyEats Announces Top Allergy-Friendly Restaurants

AllergyEats has released its guide to the most allergy-friendly restaurants around the nation. Focusing on chains, the guide is now available on the AllergyEats website and mobile app. Ratings are based purely on how well the restaurant accommodates food-allergic diners.

"AllergyEats depends on ratings and feedback from the food allergy community to determine which restaurants are most allergy-friendly," says Paul Antico, founder and CEO of AllergyEats. The crowd-sourced information is compiled annually into a new list of eateries.

Most Food Allergy-friendly large chains list is topped by Maggiano's Little Italy.

A "large" chain is defined as having 50 or more restaurants in the chain. Close behind Maggiano's was Chipotle Mexican Grill and Mellow Mushroom. Finishing off the top five were Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and P.F. Chang's China Bistro.

Most food allergy-friendly small chains list is topped by Rainforest Cafe.

Next in line is Burtons Grille, Not Your Average Joe's, Joe's American Bar & Grill, and Legal Sea Foods.

All restaurants on either list are rated with a 4.29 or better out of a total possible score of 5. Most are consistently on the list year after year, though this year the top small eatery, Rainforest Cafe, was new to the list.
