I've discovered that the fussiest 7 year old on the entire planet will eat a sandwich made with cream cheese mixed with jam or jelly.

pThanks River! I came on here to post a note asking what everyone puts in their kids sandwiches for school. I'm sure my daughter must be getting sick of Cheese Whiz sandwiches. Thanks for your idea!/p

pHi Chris; After I posted about the soy wonder I had the same thoughts to check if their peanut wonder was processed in the same line or same plant and so I e-mailed them;the following is their response:/p
pDear Diane - /p
pThank you for your e-mail regarding our Soy Wonder Product. Rest assured, this product is not produced in the same plant as our Peanut Wonder product. The plant that produces Soy Wonder does not process any other peanut or nut items. Those with allergies to peanuts can enjoy our product Soy Wonder /p

pI had a question about the cream cheese and jelly sandwich. Many times, I've looked at the cream cheese packages (Philadephia brand, and the store brand), and I remember it had a questionable ingredient on it. I can't remember exactly what it was.... maybe guar gum... or something else that is a legume. Is cream cheese okay for those with severe peanut allergies (as well as allergies to other legumes). I've been afraid to try it!)/p

I use philadelphia cream cheese for my PA child and have had no problems. He eats it almost everyday; w/pasta or sandwich spread. He has a small milk allergy and the cream cheese is the only "cheese" he can tolerate. You might want to double check with your allergist though. Good luck!/p

pPhilly cream cheese is made on the same lines as their honey-nut flavored cream cheese spread. We avoid it, as my dd is tree nut allergic, as well as PA. I usually take Dannon plain yogurt and strain it through a coffee filter for 24 hours. Then use it in place of cream cheese. Also, the people at Healthy Choice have assured me that their cream cheese is made on a peanut free/tree nut free line./p
