Quanity of Epipens?

pWe keep four of them. One is at babysitter's, our house, my mom's house, and one is in the diaper bag. We carry the diaper bag with us at all times./p
pI may begin carrying two in the diaper bag./p

pI carry three epipens at all times in my sons diaper bag. This goes everywhere my son goes. Thanks./p

pI have six which is probably more than I need but the insurance does pay for most of it. The only two times my daughter ever needed them was when she was at daycare. The first time, the daycare only had one and the teacher ended up getting it in her finger by accident (which is not uncommon). Luckily that wasn't a severe reaction but they were just following the instructions to administer the epi if in doubt. The second time a different teacher tried to administer it, thought something was wrong with the Epipen, picked up the second one and gave her that. She realized there wasn't anything wrong with the first one but it was good she had a spare to grab when she got nervous./p
pWe also keep two in my daughter's backpack that goes with her everywhere (my husband takes them in his office while she is at daycare) and two I keep in the kitchen. I keep the two in the kitchen so I know where they are and I don't have to try to hunt down the backpack if I need them in a hurry./p

pI have 4. One stays home, one in the diaper bag, one at grandmas, and one is *always* in my purse. Many times during errands I don't grab the diaper bag for every stop and at least I know that I have one in my purse. Sometimes when I will go out without my daughter, I'll take a little tiny purse. It feels so good to be free of the epi, diaper, wipes etc., etc... :-)/p

pHi, I ALWAYS carry two in my diaper bag (incase one malfunctions or a second injection is needed) I don't go anywhere with out my diaper bag. I also keep one in my kitchen. If I had a problem with the kitchen epi, I can always resort to my diaper bag which is stored in a nearby closet. Here is a hint which works well for me. I put my epi's and my benadryl and spoon in a fanny pack, then I put the fanny pack in the diaper bag. This way if I really want to lighten up my load I just attach the fanny pack to me and feel safe!!!/p

pMy daughter's fanny pack which she always carries with her has two in it, her school has a spare one in the office, her daycare (for after school care) has a spare one in their medication cupboard and I always have one in my purse./p

pWe have three, but he is always with me or my husband. I have one in my purse. Two are in his pack which stays on a special shelf beside the front door when we are home. He wears the pack when we leave the house for any reason, even a walk.br /

pHi, we have six: one at caregiver's house, one at school in classroom, one with me, one with my husband, one with my five year old at all times and one extra. The plan is to have 2 pens available wherever Troy is, at home or school or out shopping with us, or at caregiver's house./p

pwe have 8. 2 at school, 2 in house, two in my pocketbook, and two that daddy keeps so he doesn't have to take mine every time he leaves with our son alone. I was afraid one of us would forget to return it back and we would be unprotected. The only time they are removed now is when they expire. This sounds like a lot, but it gives me one less thing to remember - or FORGET./p
