I came across this site and I think some of you may also be interested in it. It is the Institute for Safe Medication Practices: www.ismp.org/Pages/main.html

Also, I found some information there about Atrovent Inhalation Aerosol and peanut allergy:

This organization is dedicated to educating the healthcare community about safe medication practices and lobbies for changes to medication labelling, safe use guidelines etc.

pThank you for the great thread. My daughter had an adverse reaction to Atrovent. She is Asthmatic and Peanut allergic but not allergic to Soy. I was not sure who to report it to (other then her doctor, pharmacy, and FAN). I sent a note to ISMP today, thanks to your info!/p

pOf concern is medication labels etc. /p
pI just sent an e mail to this website to find out what they have had for a response to their SAFE PRACTICE RECOMMENDATION re: Atrovent Inhalation Aerosol and peanut allergy, and to find out if they have any suggestions which may help us in our efforts to bring awareness of peanut allergy to the pharmaceutical industry, to pharmacies etc. and for the need for labeling etc./p

pI think that the fact that the Atroven inhalation solution should also be known. After careful searches I did find somewhere in the site that i linked to that it is only the aerosol that is contra indicated for peanut/soy allergic individuals. Something in the propulsion perhaps.../p
