Does PA affect growth potential?

I have a 2 1/2 year old boy with PA. He seems to be on the small side of the growth charts. I am 5'8", my husband is 6'4". My son is barely in the 50th percentile in height, and the 15th percentile for weight.

I have asked my doctor if the allergy is affecting his growth potential. He danced around the question saying that if I give him the proper alternative nutrition it should not affect his growth.

Several other mothers in my area have noted that their PA children run on the smaller side also. Is this just coincidence??

Are there some teen and adult PA people out there that can answer this question for me? Thank you for your time----this has been on my mind for about a year now.
