Trace's mom---I was looking over some of these earlier Smarties threads and you said you have relatives in Portland, Oregon. That's where I am! I would love to get Smarties for my PA son. I have found a candy company in WA that will send a case--but that seems like a lot. I don't really want that many. Do you have any family coming to visit you soon? Would you like to help us? Thanks for the consideration.

Fran,
I also live in the Portland, Or area. What is the name of the candy company in Wash? What were they going to send you a case of?

Frances, did you want me to keep you on the list of people that I "officially pair" up with a Canadian or are you going to sort this one out for yourself? I'd just like to know so I can keep track of who I am matching up, as I've been doing this for four pages now.
Many thanks and best wishes!

Hi,
What a great idea!!! I as a teacher that loves to cook with the kids at the day care center I direct am always looking for things to decorate cookies and cupcakes with that are safe. As a newly diagnosed PA, I am having great difficulty deciding my comfort zone. I have seen and eaten sixlets in the past but they are very difficult to find in my area, usually only in mom and pop stores and definetly not in my neighborhood.
I would love to buy a case of smarties if anyone wants to hook up with me to arrange the purchasing and shipping, I'm happy to reimburse all expenses. thanx, barbsch e-mail pigfan5@yahoo.com

Cindy please keep me on the list. I am trying to get ahold of Smarties some other way but don't take me off until I let you know I have succeeded. Thanks for all your efforts!!!!!

barbsch, do you want to be added to the list of Americans waiting to be matched up with a Canadian or are you wanting to sort this out for yourself? Again, I'm just not clear and since I have been kinda co-ordinating this for four pages now, I feel rather odd. I don't know if I should just let people match themselves up, or keep doing what I've been doing - adding people to the list when they post and you would be the 6th person in line.
Anyway, could you please let me know so I know whether to add you to the list or if you're going to do this separately?
Frances, no problem, I'll keep you on the list and would greatly appreciate if you let me know if you get matched up on your own.
Best wishes!

Frances!!! I'm so sorry to not have responded to your post! We recently moved and I've not been checking the boards lately! Unfortunately (for this thread!) we moved back to the Portland area, so I won't be able to participate any longer. My son is also milk allergic, so I won't even need them for us! I hope you found someone else to help already! Again, I'm sorry for not responding sooner!

tania n., I'm really pleased that your match up worked out okay for both sides. I know you had been a bit concerned.
So, as far as I can tell, I have 6 Americans who would like Smarties please!
Best wishes!

Barbsch--I found a candy store in Washington that sells Smarties--but by the case. The case has 48 boxes for $37.99--not including shipping. I don't know how this compares to the Canadian price since I haven't yet been able to acquire any from Canada. Perhaps we could go in on a case? I don't mind spending the $40--but having so much candy seems extreme. I do know that my 11 year old would love them since they are the closest thing to MM's and he really misses the MM's. Let me know.
Trace's mom--you live in Portland? How old is your son.
