My son is pa/asthmatic. He is 1/4 Japanese, 1/4 German from me, and 1/2 English/Irish/Scottish combo thanks to my husband.

I couldn't resist adding to this thread. This has been very interesting reading and the correlations are incredible. Here goes my 2 cents! I definitely don't fall in the "petite mom" category. I'm 5'9" and 150 lbs, but the grandmas are 5'1" and 5'3". My 5-year-old PA son is fair skinned, RED hair, brown eyes and VERY long eye lashes. In fact, if I had his eye lashes, I wouldn't need to wear mascara! I don't have any idea about my family heritage except I know there is some German, by my husband is half Ukranian and half Polish. As for the red hair, I have NO IDEA where it came from!!! We have not been able to locate a family member with red hair. In fact, I've endured "mailman" jokes since his red locks first surfaced when he was 6 months old.

Matt, our PA son, is blond with blue eyes, and has the fairest skin I've ever seen. My daughter and I have the same skin, with light brown hair that has strawberry blond highlights. We are Scot/Irish/English mostly.
Their dad has medium skin, with light brown hair. He was blonde as a child. His family was of German descent.

This was pretty fun to read and catch up on. We are all blue eyed, blonde, small people over here. And my pa son is, of course, oh so smart!!!

Ok, I can't resist, here goes...
I'm 5'5", 103#, dark hair with red highlights, green-brown-gold colored eyes, glow-in-the-dark skin, a few freckles, long eyelashes, Irish, German, little English, little Indian(?). I have Asthma, environmental allergies, and am allergic to Sulfa. I was quite sickly as a child. I was not breast fed, had colic for my first 9 months and am still lactose intolerant. It took us 6 years and a lot of fertility drugs to finally get pregnant. We lost the first baby.
My husband is 5'10', 210#, medium brown hair with blonde highlights, brown eyes, has skin that tans VERY easily (tells everyone that he stands next to me at the beach to use me as a tanning accelerator), Irish, Hungarian, Dutch. He has GERD and suffers from hay fever. He was not breast fed.
Our son is 5 years old, 45" tall, 49#, light brown hair with blonde highlights, blue-gray eyes with long eyelashes, light skin. He has an IgA deficiency, Asthma and Allergies (Peanuts, Tree Nuts, Milk, Eggs, Cefzil, trees, grasses, weeds, dust mites, cockroaches, cats, dogs). He was born 1 week early with a heart murmur (outgrown), had an umbilical hernia (corrected itself), had tubes in his ears (twice), and was breast fed for the first year of his life. He is very intelligent!
Our oldest daughter is 3.5 years old, 38" tall, 31#, medium brown hair with red highlights, brown-blue-gold eyes with long eyelashes, skin that tans easily. She has Asthma, Reflux and Allergies (Milk, Zithromax, trees, grasses, weeds, molds, dust mites, cockroaches, cats). She was born 1 week early, almost had tubes put in her ears and was breast fed for the first year of her life. She is very intelligent.
Our youngest daughter is 17 months old, 31.5" tall, 22#, light brown hair with blonde highlights, brown-green eyes with long eyelashes, skin that tans easily. She has Asthma, Reflux, and Allergies (Milk, trees, grasses, weeds, molds, dust mites). She was born 1 week early, had an umbilical hernia (corrected itself) and was breast fed for the first year of her life. She is also very intelligent.
We'd REALLY like to have another baby or two, but that's another thread?!

My family is Asian and Caucasian... the allergies come from my mother's side (Asian). My mother is 5'4", which is average height for an Asian woman, and my father is 5'11". My older brother and I have environmental allergies (me- nickel and dust mites, brother- pine). Mom has seasonal allergies, her late sister was allergic to grass and had food allergies as an infant. No allergies in Dad's family at all... Dad has red hair, blue eyes and is very fair, but I have a medium complexion and dark hair and eyes.
DH's family is Asian, and about 75% of his family suffers from food or environmental allergies, Jason is the only one with peanut and nut allergies though. MIL is 4'10" and FIL is 5'8". DH is 5'9.5", which is tallish for an Asian. He has seasonal allergies and outgrew milk and soy allergies.
Jason has my skin tone, and medium brown hair, brown eyes.
