Hi, I bought The Pez dispensers for Christmas and I called to find out if they were made in a safe plant. Has anyone tried them with their PA children and if so have you had any problems??? THey 0nly manufacture pez candy there but they import wafer cookies with nuts (never opened in the plant). My comfort zone is O.K. but I just thought that I would ask the people that know the most. ...all you PA parents..
Thanks,
stay safe

I have never had a problem with PEZ, but must admit I am 47 and have not had any in recent years.
My 3 yr old pa son has been an avid pez dispenser collector for quite some time now--over 100 so far! He has eaten the candy with no problems. Deanna
My son also ate PEZ this Fall without a problem.
Pez is one of the very few candies I give my child. She has never had a problem with them. On a side note- I think they are absolutely gross tasting, but she likes them a lot.
Madi's Mom, I am actually having a problem finding the actual candy replacements for my son's PEZ dispenser. It was not a really big deal for him when he received it last year for his birthday. It was definitely NOT the same as when I received one as a child. However, to answer your question without much digression, he did eat the pez candy that came with the dispenser without a problem. That was when I attempted to look for more candy so I could read the label again and also so he could enjoy what I had enjoyed as a child.
And, Andy, I'm beginning to wonder if you have recently consumed Pez! In my mid-30's, without children, I developed this Smarties thing, and I would line the Smarties up accordingly to colour, exactly the same way I did as a child. Now, of course, these days I'm not able to do such anal retentive things, but I recall that period of my mid-30's quite fondly, thank-you.
My apologies for going off-topic and joking in the thread.
No, my son did not have a reaction to the candy but I am having difficulty finding it to see if it is labeled safely. Best wishes!

My daughter eats Pez with no problems!
My 3 yr old son loves the Pez candies and has never had any problems.
Thanks so much for your answers. I feel safe knowing their are other PA kids eating them without any problems. I know there is another thread on this but ...Hershey kisses are O.K. they say...do you agree?? I am hesitant because I know about 3 yrs ago they did not have any real company policy concerning their chocolate and I know they are serious now...so is it o.k. with your kids?
I called Pez and they told me their candy is safe. I also called Hershey and they told me that the only chocolate they make on a dedicated line in a dedicated room is the regular sized chocolate bar 1.5 oz. I think. They told me that they have a new allergy task force that will label chocolate that has a risk of cross contamination. I find them to be true to their word because I'll get a Kit Kat bar from the vending machine at work that will have a warning but the next day I'll get another one that won't. I hope that helps.
Heather, What did they say about Hershey Kisses. Do you eat those?
