I just read this article and would like to know if peanut oil is currently used in the flu shot as an excipient/additive or if the flu shot contains any ingredients that may contain a peanut derivative.

My daughter has a severe peanut allergy and I want to absolutely avoid giving her the flu shot if it has any peanut ingredient.

Thank you in advance for your help!

my daughter is allergic to peanuts and she got the flu shot with out problems. I would give a call to you pediatrician but I can't imagine that they would do that. There are to many people out there with nut allergies that need the flu shot. I would also look at where you got this information to see if it is credible
