Dairy Queen Pre-Packaged Treats?

If anyone is interested... here is the response I got from DQ. I'm pretty bummed because I thought I finally found something safe for my son there, but it looks like that is all about to change. They are making efforts to avoid cross-contamination, but I'm not sure that I am comfortable with that.

The Starkiss Bars were part of our "dairy free" and "peanut/nut free" product offerings at Dairy Queen restaurants. The manufacturer that makes these novelty treats now produces other products and treats in their facility that may contain peanuts/nuts, dairy, and wheat. They may also produce other products that contain these ingredients on the same line on which our Starkiss bars are created. It should be noted, the labeling on the Starkiss Bars has been changed to include a disclaimer noting that these bars may contain peanuts/nut, dairy, and wheat, however please note that we have been assured that the Starkiss Bars are not being
manufactured on a line that includes products with nuts. All the Dilly bars are also produced in this plant. The company does do allergen cleaning between each process to provide a peanut free product.

Not to continue this conversation further. But my parents asked DQ the same question and got this response... a bit different than the first. But I found it interesting. I am really looking for something safe at Dairy Queen, thus my minor obsession with this. :) It sounds like the lines are peanut-free, but not the facility and they do NOT label for that!!!!
