Hostess, Entermann\'s, Kasi safe?

Hello, just wondering are Hostess HoHos,Ding Dongs, etc. safe treats for peanut/tree nut allergies? HOw about Entermann's donuts? I bought Kasi Go Lean Crunch, is that safe? HOw about Oreo with the dark creme and white cookie?

Is Olive Garden a safe Restaurant?

Which are same bread crumbs, breads (Natural Ovens ok?).

I don't use Kashi anymore. If you do a search (note that it's kashi, and not kasi-you'll get more hits that way) you can see why. For a while they would tell people which foods and facilities were safe. Then they suddenly would refuse to divulge any of that type of information. Someone here had a child have a reaction to their oatmeal (which they initially said was in a shared facility). I think they may label for cross contamination now but I'm not sure. I just avoid because I hold a grudge that way.
We trust Entenmann's but a lot of people do not. I just check labels carefully. The entenmann's in our area do seem to label for cross contamination.
Hostess is just beginning to label for shared equipment/facilities. We don't buy them much (because of all the saturated fat and trans fat) but when we went on vacation we did buy some of their breads. I called Hostess before we left and got a list of all the nut free facilities. I didn't buy any unless they had a nut-free facility code on it.
eta: it helps to answer all the questions. lol.
Oreo seems to label well. Nabisco is getting better about it. We only buy the regular or double stuff, or the golden oreos. I know the cakesters are not safe and some of the varieties are not safe but they are labeled with peanut in the ingredient list.
I have no idea about Olive Garden. You could do a search on it in the Restaurant forum.
I don't buy bread crumbs so I'm not sure about that but I *think* progresso is made by General Mills which labels well.

I do allow DD to eat Oreos because they are the only widely available cookie she can have. (She's also MA.) I only allow regular, double stuff and mint-n-creme because I can visually check for peanut butter. Several years ago, Nabisco recalled one of their covered varieties because the inside stuffing was peanut butter not the regular creme. Basically, it was mispackaged.
I know the recall happened somewhere between 2004 and 2006, but I'm still nervous about Oreos.

I contacted the Olive Garden a few months ago asking about nuts and peanuts in their food and this was what they sent me...
We are unable to provide the information you requested regarding nuts or peanut oil as an ingredient at Olive Garden. Identifying allergens is a complex process for restaurants as there may be minuscule amounts of ingredients our vendors may
not list. As you know, peanuts have been hidden in pie crusts, gravies, chili, spaghetti, soups, and cheesecakes. While none of our recipes include nuts or peanuts, we cannot say with complete accuracy that there are no nuts or possible
cross introduction of nuts in our restaurants stemming from our vendors. Our current nutritional database does not include information to the level of detail you require for your safety. Our menu is very complex and our vendor sources are
extensive, making it very difficult to recommend any items with the confidence that we all need. We trust that you will appreciate our position. We do not currently offer Pesto Sauce on our menu.

Olive Garden's pizza is ok here in my area. Dd has eaten it many times (we always ask about nuts before we order and they always check with the chef).

kashi is off limits in our house. do a search for kashi and poke around, youll find an interesting thread - its about "safe" granola bars... my personal experience with kashi is my own fault, i developed PA while pregnant with my PA DS, and was not diligent in reading the labels (if only i knew then what i know now...), and ate a kashi cherry dark chocolate crunch granola bar containing peanut flour and had a very severe reaction when i was about 7 1/2 months prego. there is too much conflicting info regarding the presence (or lack thereof) of contains or cross-contam for me to feel safe with it in the house.
olive garden is the one restaurant i always feel comfortable taking my son.
we haven't gotten to the cookie/treat age, so no help there (hes only 12 months, and the only cookie he's ever had was homebaked by granny!)
some entemanns products (from memory, dont quote me) - raspberry danish struedel - i have seen have coconut oil (treenut - my son is allergic to tn and coconut), but it was labeled. good luck!

my son is PA and eats at olive garden all the time. he always asks before we eat anything, but we have never had a problem there. entenmans donuts are mostly safe. we buy the chocolate frosted, or the powdered mix. i know those are definitely safe.
