My 3 yr old has had a stuffy/runny nose for the past few weeks. I have been giving him Clairton off/on not on a daily basis and it does not help/he also does not like it. This week his excema has return for the first time this summer. He is pa/eggs.

Is this a reaction or just general allergies for this year?
Would you visit the regular dr or the allergiest?

Hard to say.
I think I would call the allergist, it's either a seasonal issue, or food related--both allergy.

Hi There..
My son used to take allavert. It didn't help him at all. Sounds like a seasonal pollen allergy but I would visit an allergist NOT the pediatrician to find out.

If I'm remembering correctly, you can't take something like Claritin "on and off" and expect to just work when you need it. It requires consistency, but that could Nasonex I thinking of too.
Eczema does re-appear when it gets humid for some people...sometimes even worse than winter. Doesn't mean you're dealing with a reaction.
I'd make an apptmnt with your pediatric allergist too. Just to rule things out---mysteries are so frustrating.
