I was just wondering if anyone has ever had reactions to this stuffing. There were no allergy notes on the bag. I made a chicken & stuffing bake that was on the back of the bag, & the soup had no allergy notes either.
We ate peas as a side dish. After dinner I was really itchy, & I started getting hives/rashes all over my face. No swelling. At the time I thought it was from nestle choc. chips, but a few days later I thought that it might have been the peas or the stuffing mix.
I had to take benadryl. I was better the next day.
Thanks for any info.
Hmmm...hard to tell which was the culprit...could be a blend of the mixture since there was more than one possible "allergen" involved.
There was a post by someone earlier this week on the Morrison's stuffing mix. Although the ingredients did not list "peanut" as an ingredient but was listed as a "May Contain" or "Contains" in BOLD in the last sentence.
I have seen these types of labelings...which frustrates the living daylights out of me.
In my opinion, companies NEED to label right and not all skewy like a darn maze. They should come up with a CORPORATE labeling in a TABLE FORMAT that all companies have to acquire by...like
Peanuts: Yes
Soy: Yes
Wheat: Yes
and etc...

My DD has never had a reaction to the Pepperidge Farm herb stuffing. That's our standard stuffing so she's had it at least three times in the past 6 weeks with no reaction. Given Nestle's new labeling on their chocolate chips, I'd tend to suspect those.

We use Pepperidge Farm Herb stuffing (in the blue bag) and DD has never reacted to it. Could it have been the peas? I read somewhere that some people who are PA also can be allergic to peas.
I would also question the peas.
I would question the herbs or the peas. my sister who has no known food allergies had an episode on thanksgiving where her throat closed up. she doesnt know what caused it but she was eating a puerto rican dish that had spices and black beans or pigeon peas in it?? i dont think she ever got tested to find out what caused the reaction.
I suspect the peas in thinking back. I've never had any problem with peas before, but I never had problems with PN & TN before 2 yrs. ago either.
Thanks.
