"No Nuts For Me" was always a favorite in our home.

I found this a few years ago and feel it is the best book on the subject of allergies. Pictures are very good. It is from the MY HEALTH Series
Allergies

Allie the Allergic Elephant is great for small children and The Peanut Free Cafe I think is better for slightly older children.
Allie details simple pictures and words of what would happen to Allie if she had peanuts and how to keep her safe and the Peanut Free Cafe is from the point of view of a friend of a child with a PA and what they can do to help.

I really like the newer book called "The Peanut Free Cafe". Here's the link for Amazon.com (but you can find it at Barnes and Noble or Borders in the USA)

I bought it for DD's 2nd grade class last year and the kids LOVED it! It's not only a story about allergies, but friendship too. I noticed it at our local library a few weeks ago, and the librarian said that non-allergies kids have been checking it out and it isn't on the shelf for very long.
It is very thoughtful of you to do this for your school library!

I agree with The Peanut Free Cafe. I just bought 3 kids books and that one is our favorite. I too ordered another one to donate to my son's classroom and hopefully it can follow him up a few years!!
