The last 4 years, my son has sat in the peanut free area at school. Next year, his last in elementary, his grade will be in lunchroom the same time as his sister, in 2nd, also PA, and sits in peanut free area. My dilemma is this: There are only 3 tables that seat a total of 24 kids in this area. My son is not going to want to be back there with 2nd graders. I mentioned to him last night sitting out with the regular population at lunch, and he is terrified. I think it would be okay..his grade would be sitting at these tables first, so no cross contamination issues on the table. Any thoughts? I guess I could ask for a peanut free table for 5th grade, but I think it would target him more than he already is. I told him his close friends would not sit next to him if it wasn't safe, and if anyone else did, they would be moved. Thanks for any help..
