No problemo. I figured that it would be a major waste for me not to post what I found. People here have helped me immensely, and I don't really feel like I give back that much except for a few cyber margaritas, so, this is just my way of saying "Thanks". Hopefully, this will help people.
BTW, Chanda, in the government section, there is a link to the Colorado Dept. Of Education. 5th link down on the list in that category. Happy Birthday too (a bit belated!!!)

WOW!! You are the best! Thank you so much for sharing. I know I will be pulling things from your list very shortly!

Mom to:
Sydney 4 1/2 EA, PA, asthma
Noah 2 1/2 allergic to Penicillin
I know that some of the stuff is lengthy there, but many of those are in PDF format, so the documents have a table of contents and you can find the relevant info.
There were a couple themes also, either direct statement of LTFA's being a disability, LTFA's being a disability with a 504 designation, the qualification that a food allergy had to be life threatening or induce anaphylaxis then it'd meet the criteria for disability falling under 504, LTFA policies for schools & dealing with & accommodations, etc. And there were a couple things that I just thought were interesting ....... the first one in that category could also be extremely helpful.... but it was also very, very, interesting to me.
Anyway, if there are any of those links that don't work for you, or a link that you just wonder why I put it, I'll do my best to help clarify if you ask.
Well, gotta go get my morning coffee. Glad you guys like the list. Have a good one.
Truly great. Thank you!
Wow...this type of information put into one place is so awesome. I was hoping there would be a permanent place for these types of links so the information wouldn't get lost in the threads.
It would save a lot of people a ton of work if a separate thread titled "Links to School information" could be created. That way whenever someone finds a good link it can be posted in one place.
Great work!!! Thanks-
Thank gvmom...I actually just got that same link last week and printed the whole 154 pages out...I am taking it to my next 504 meeting!!!!! I will read through some of these others and see what I can use, THANK YOU for doing this, and sharing it with us non-the-less...you rock!!!
ps...wanted to share, one of the moms(I know which one it is too, one that confronted me she mentioned her son was allergic to bees...but she posted under the comments of Ryan's letter). (thank you to sakmom for replying!)
