I noticed on Burger Kings website that they have one bun calld the Corn dusted bun that doesnt have sesame listed as an ingredient. Im disappointed that their kids meal burger has a sesame bun. my son loves spiderman and we got a toy today but the chicken nuggets at BK are too peppery. does anyone with sesame allergy eat their plain bun?

Tidina,
I tried a few months ago. I'm sesame allergic.
I got their corn dusted bun and the vegetarian sandwich.
I had my basic sesame reaction: spaciness and swollen eustachian tubes, although not severely so.
Now, I eat McD's regular buns all the time and don't have problems.
I've not called Morningstar Farms about their veggie burgers (which BK uses). We keep them on hand at home for DS. It had been some time since I'd had one, but I have eaten them on occasion.
I assumed there was some pretty bad cross contamination with my bun--either that or the burger did contain sesame. I've not called Morningstar Farms or gone to their website about this, BTW.
And I've not gone back to BK.

The tops and bottoms of the buns are packaged together, so it would be very likely that the bottoms would have some sesame. With the seedless buns, I guess it would depend upon if they were stored together and also the procedures where they were baked. We steer clear of bakery buns, so neither of the buns would be in our comfort zone.

Whenever I get a BK kids meal for my 3 yr. old, I have them make it on sourdough bread. They have sourdough for their breakfast sandwiches and are very accomodating when I tell them that Vincent has a sesame allergy.

My son is severely allergic to sesame and I don't go to BK because I worry about cross contamination. He only eats Wendy's chicken nuggets. I don't let him eat the burger or anything with bread (although I never checked if they make their rolls in a sesame-free place or not).

Hmmm... I'm in the DC/Baltimore area and our BK's have a sourdough breakfast sandwich. Maybe it's a regional thing, though. I know they do have a regional menu.
