..When a cat you've had for 17 years, that was born, literally in your LAP, has to be put to sleep because of fluid around his heart.

I've been crying like a BABY all day long.

Oh dear. I am so sorry.
I can certainly understand. Losing my sweet dog this November has been the hardest thing for us to endure I can't imagine ever feeling right again. I still cry every single day.
I can imagine the lovely connection you had to your sweet cat. I am so sorry.

I'm so sorry to hear about your cat. I lost my kitty, also 17 yrs old in 1996, which I bottle-fed with a doll bottle. Her mother refused to feed her (sole survivor) after she'd lost 5 other kittens from the same litter.

So sorry too. It is hard to lose a *loved-one* even one with 9 lives!
We had to hold a little funeral ourselves on Fri. My kids guinea pig passed away, old age, he was about 9yrs old(if you can believe it). So lots of tears from the kids...we'll pass you a kleenex too....HUGS

I'm so sorry. I completely understand your pain - I still grieve my cats who died 9 and 10 years ago, respectively, and treat my current cat like my third baby. It's so painful that their lifespans are so much shorter than ours.
