Please don't tell me that you've called the manufacturer and that these aren't really safe. I've eaten two - with no problems!

This is absolutely the BEST granola bar I've tasted since PA dx. I reread the label half a dozen times while I was eating it - finding it hard to believe it was safe!

Please call the manufacturer - to make sure it is within YOUR comfort zone. It certainly is in mine!!

I don't want to burst your bubble but after reading a few things here I don't trust anything from Kashi. In the past they would tell you if you called which items were made in nut free facilities. Now they won't tell you and they don't label for shared facilities/lines/etc.

Hi Gale,
* POP * (that's my bubble bursting)
I also just read on the flap that they also make a peanut peanut butter TLC chewy granola bar......* sniff *
But I think this is in my comfort zone anyway.
OK for me - but don't think I'd buy them for a PA child or a super sensitive adult.

Right. I've said that about a lot of foods/situations-that if it was me with the allergy I might do this or eat that but with my kid it's a different story. I hope you never have problems with them-I'm not a big granola bar person but I remember eating a lot of kudos bars when I was in HS and they were pretty darn good.

Adele---I hope these continue working for you. If for some reason they don't, Kellogg's All Bran bars and Kellogg's Smart Start Bars come sooooo close to the real thing--if Kellogg's is in your comfort zone.

I'll give Kashi a call today and ask about the granola bars.
I bought a box of Nutrigrain bars for a trip a few weeks ago but didn't care for them. I really hope the Kashi bars check out as OK.

I just spoke with someone at Kashi.
I was told that the Cherry Dark Chocolate granola bar is made in a different (peanut and nut-free) plant from the other granola bars. If any of their products are made on equipment that is also used for a nut product, the box would be labeled 'may contain'.
I'm convinced that the granola bars are safe for ME!

Adele, if they put on the label that it's made in a peanut/nut free factory, their sales would go up exponentially! Maybe I'll try these for my daughter.

awesome Adele!
I love Kashi products, but I can't have anything w/ their 7-grain wonder mix anymore since I tested positive to sesame on RAST (all I get is a flushed chest/next...but I thought best to avoid)
I do use their oatmeal and the GoLean Shake Mix
