Gotta say that was great reading -- better than the normal newspaper (thanks for the link Mommabear).
I never even thought about the disclaimers, just thought it was part of a persons style - lots of people have something at the bottom of their post. If someone starts out with one, I just figure, that again, it is just part of how they talk. The whole notion of sueing someone for something on this site seems wierd to me -- but I guess anything is possible, so if someone feels the need to add a disclaimer, by all means do. For the most part, I just pass over them, unless they get changed up a bit - which sometimes they do now and again.
I too just thought it was a way of expressing personality and I often chuckled about those.
Dont tell me any differently because life is much more fun when you chuckle.
Hey maybe that could be my line at the end.

qdebbie -- why did you edit it out?
When I saw the word "disclaimer", I instantly thought of MB (which me chuckle). I find that to be a unique part of her posts, kind of a cyberspace personality attribute .
Also a reminder that, knowing her (and others) profession, she (and others) is/are not offering medical advice per se. Simply stating their own opinion and views, while also imparting knowledge of topics in threads.
I find disclaimers useful as a reminder to old-timers and newbies, that although comments are made, this is neither a legal nor medical board. This IS a support group. It is easy to forget sometimes when we get caught up in the moment, especially with school issues. We are here to support each other with encouragement, knowledge, empathy and advice among other things.
with only 5 words in my post, i mis typed one.
dork
Disclaimer: Not that you are a dork, or MB, I mean, me, in my own personal unique situation.
