My DD eats Pop Tarts (strawberry) very frequently. She's never had a problem and I do trust Kellogs' labeling.
We eat them all the time too.
You do have to check the labels, at least I do. I know some flavors we cannot have, but I forget if it is because of egg or peanut on the warning or ingredients. We do not get them alot, but we do get the strawberry frosted ones on occasion. Never a problem. I have not called, but check the labels. I choose to trust Kellogg's labelling.
Dd's friend came to the door eating one today(running late out the door). His Dad was so sweet. Asked if it was okay for him to come in with it because of dd's allergies. It clearly had no peanut, so it was very nice of the Dad to still check. becca

MommyMegan,
Try your search using "Pop Tarts" (no quotes)...I got 48 results (I'm sure not all of them are relevant, though)...
Kellogg's PopTarts were my first *travelling food* lol. Two days of driving, and that was one meal and snacks.
I trust Kellogg's labelling - I don't recall seeing any that listed peanut as an ingredient or a warning.
My PA son eats them all the time... mainly the chocolate ones... smores, chocolate chip, etc... Never had a problem.
We eat Kroger Brand strawberry and apple flavors with no problems. My ds is 17 months old and is pa & egg.
Good Luck
Suzette
PA DS eats Pot Tarts all the time. He likes all the chocolatey flavors (chocolate fudge, chocolate chip, smores). I always check the labels, but have never seen any warning for peanut/tree nut.
We live on Pop Tarts. I have never seen a peanut warning or peanut ingredient. We eat the brown sugar cinnamon ones, strawberry, frosted strawberry, frosted rasberry, cinnamon french toast ones, can`t recall what else. All of those are also milk free. There are some with egg, so that may be the warning that Becca was thinking of.
Jason eats pop tarts frequently, usually the frosted strawberry or the cinnamon brown sugar varieties with no problems.
They're the closest thing to a cereal bar that both of my food allergic kids can eat.
