i try to avoid coconut oil.
My PA/TNA DD loves these. No coconut allergy for us, so thankfully she now has a new snack to take to school.
Do you know if Quaker uses any other tree nuts besides almonds? DD is becoming reactive to more nuts now, and I have never bought these for her because of the almonds, and now she is PA as well. She will be glad to be able to eat a different granola bar (safely).
It's been ages since I even looked at those, but I used to buy them all the time. But I know they used to have a PB flavor (I ate them often before DS). Have they discontinued the PB flavor, or is it in another facility? I'm going to have check these out next time I shop. Sounds too good to be true, but I'm very happy about the news.
Is this US or Canada or both? OP-you're from Canada right?
thanks for the info

Q's Mommy, you're Canadian, aren't you? Wow! That would be GREAT!
I have to go to the grocer this evening, so I'll see if I can find some.
Just really super.
Oh, do you know if they will have a "may contain traces of tree nuts" warning on them?
Just super stuff though. I'm happy.

"That was Polanski. Nicholson got his nose cut."
Hooray!! Thanks for letting us know!
I am in Canada, sorry forgot to mention that, I was so excited.
The facility is completely peanut free, so no peanut butter ones are made. The only tree nut is in almond cereal and it is made in a seperate location (room), behind walls, doors completely away from where the granula bars are processed. The person I spoke to said that the cereal is made in this other location and the almonds are added to it in another sepereate room. Any
They do not say "may contain traces of treenut". Probably because the almond is know where near the granola bars, in a completely different room, different staff etc..
Hope that helps.
If you have any doubts give Quaker a call, the lady I spoke to was very helpful.
Ali
thanks. ive been wondering how im going to order the nonuttin ones. maybe i can hold off on it and try quaker. great info.
DD will be happy. She is getting tired of Special K bars. And these are something that all 3 kids can eat, no more 'these are for ...'.
