the state of GA told my DS school that they could not ban peanuts in a public school classroom. The school has already told me I can have a 504. If you are in GA, and your have peanuts banned from the classroom, please let me know. Also I need a copy of your 504 if you have one. I am on the phone now with the DEpt of Civil Liberties. Any legal info would be great.

Thanks,
Trish

Don't know if this will help you right now (since you have to HAVE a 504 plan to file a complaint about a violation... ) but perhaps you can file a complaint about them deciding a priori what accomodations will or will not be made. Without consideration of the medical needs which must be met to insure access.

They *can* ban peanuts, they just do not want to.
