my son came home from school today so excited- he had a party invitation that he was told to bring home before opening it ( so I knew not everyone had gotten one) we opened it and it was from a boy I had never heard of- I asked my son if he knew him, and he said, not really, but mom, he is in one of the other 1st grade classes, and he sits at the peanut free table every day- he passed out the invitations to ALL the 1st graders sitting at the Peanut free table at lunch today! ONLY the kids at their table got invited! Man, after so many parties we have not gone to and countless birthday cakes and treats he has had to turn down, the kid finally got an invitation BECAUSE he has a peanut allergy! He was so happy, it just melted my heart. I can't wait to call the mom and RSVP tomorrow...she really made both my sons and my day! Jen

My dd is the only one w/ PA at her school (that I know of) I think she would love to be around others that have to deal with the same issue. (and it takes a little of the worry away to know the mom is already aware)
