More that one pa/tna child?

I have two children that have a peanut allergy. Kate is thirteen and Joseph is ten. We are not sure about baby Grace yet. She is fifteen months old. I just have a feeling that she will be too.

I have 2 kids with allergies, one who is clear so far. 5 year old DD is PA, TNA and allergic to shellfish. 1 year old DS is TNA, EA, and avoiding all nuts and shellfish. 3 year old DD was RAST tested, negative for peanuts and all nuts. Still avoiding all nuts.

I have two peanut allergic girls ages 9 and 7. Then I have two boys with no allergies to foods at all. I am surprised your pediatrician would tell you that your son will have the same allergies. I've asked this question a million times and was basically told the opposite. While siblings are at a higher rate of developing allergies, there is absolutely no way of predicting what kind of allergy they will have. Neither one of my sons have had a reaction to a food, yet my oldest son (age 5) is allergic to dogs.

DD was allergic to egg, milk, peanut, nut as a toddler.
DS is allergic to egg, milk, and was never exposed to peanut or nut, even while I was pregnant. I hope he does not become allergic to peanuts and nuts when he finally is exposed.

DD#3 tests negative to top 8.
DD#1 ate a PB cookie ONCE (ok, maybe twice)
No reactions from #1. Never given to #2 or #3
Safe to say there COULD be Massive Ramifications from #2.

Oldest is PA.
#2-has asthma, and acid reflux, but KNA. She was tested twice before having a food challenge and she passed.
#3-no pn yet, we'll test at age 3.

I'm one of three sisters--we are all allergic to peanuts and tree nuts + have other allergies! My mom seems to have developed a peanut allergy within the last several years...and my father has had to reach for the Benadryl after eating some sort of tree nut (but they aren't even getting this checked out :eek [img]http://uumor.pair.com/nutalle2/peanutallergy/smile.gif[/img] [editorial comment...that was supposed to be an "eek" face rather than a smiley!)

How did you find out that your subsequent children had PA or other allergies? Were they tested at a certain age? Did they test negative then have a food challenge? I am interested in any and all experiences with the whole process.
I have a 5 year old who is PA/TNA and shellfish allergic...my youngest just turned 3 and I am planning on having her RAST tested at her 3 year visit. I am not as careful with her as far as letting her eat more freely but no nuts ever obviously! We do treat her though like she does have PA/TNA. I do think even if she had NKA we would still not let her eat them.(more for our oldest daughter's safety..plus there is always sunbutter!! [img]http://uumor.pair.com/nutalle2/peanutallergy/smile.gif[/img]
She has not been exposed to any peanut or nut other than one time when my mom was babysitting her and my dad dropped a peanut shell and she put it in her mouth. (That's a whole other story, one that still makes me furious!)
