M&M/Mars Canada (Effem Canada) has begun making safe Mars bars (Mars bar is the same as a Milky Way).

I saw the first of these tonight at Shoppers Drug Mart. It is peanut-free and nut-free. A nice peanut-free logo appears on the packaging similar to the logos used by the other peanut-free manufacturers products (Dare, Chapmans, Nestle, Quaker, etc)

Not all Mars bars are safe so we must always read labels. Here is a photo of the safe Mars bar!! This is GREAT NEWS!!!!! It's wonderful how there are so many peanut-free products available at the grocery store now!! Everywhere you look these days, you see the peanut-free logo on products... great news! [img][/img]

I haven't had a Mars bar in over 10 years [img][/img] I'll be good.. I only eat about 1 or 2 chocolate bars a week (as I get older I have less of a sweet tooth)
(my major addiction is waffles with pure Canadian maple syrup. hehe)

I was wondering where you were hiding! Apparently it was in the candy aisle at your supermarket. [img][/img]

Erik - you left me smiling - Mars was one of my DS favorites before diagnosis. I'm going chocolate shopping next time I'm out!

That's great [img][/img]
I think they just came out this week, so it may be difficult to find them at first (as most stores don't seem to have them yet)
I found them at the Shoppers Drug Mart at Yonge & College here in Toronto.. hope you can find them soon too! [img][/img]
