I added my voice as well...I tried to be constructive and played to her motherly instincts. I finished by saying that I was greatful to every parent who takes the time to read labels or ask me questions, what I am afraid of is that someones ignorance and lack of compassion would lead to my son's death. Blunt but effective I hope.
Keep writing everyone.

I watched The View yesterday and I was definetly offended by Rosie O'Donnell's comment. The comment she made was very ignorant!! Does she realize the outcome if any of her children brought peanuts to school?? Someone should tell her that she could possbile contribute to the death of an innocent child. I plan to write a lengthy letter in hopes of educating people on The View and I am going to request an apology. We will see if I continue watching or not.
Not that I want to beat a dead horse so to speak but, this is why I posted an earlier message about getting the word out by making a brocure to hand out to people. Awareness and seriousness of this problem is key or people will have no clue as to where WE are coming from. Just include basic statistics such as 12 millions have severe food allergies and it could happen to any person at any given time.
I am my son's voice and I will do whatever is necessary to protect him. We have to join forces and stop the ignorance of this problem!!
as I call it, educating the ignorant ones! It is our job as we are advocates for the peanut allergic!
I sent letters to all of the view and the view master asking for a segment on thier show. Lets wee what we can do. I will be watching today to see if anything happens or is said.
Keep the letter going all.
best wishes,

I read a good part of her question portion on her blog and I didn't care for a lot of stuff she had to say. However. I'm also watching The View to-day to see if they say anything at all about yesterday's show and Rosie's comments.
Best wishes!

Her blog comment means she is receiving the messages. If you haven't written yet, please write!
Eagerly anticipating to see if she comments on the show today .....
I'm home today and tried to watch it to see if it was addressed, and don't you know the show was pre-empted by a presidential press conference!
I'm eager to see if it was addressed at all.
Amy
which section of the blog is everyone posting in at rosie.com?
It wasn't addressed on the show today. But I am still holding out hope that it will come up in the future because they were reading mail that addressed issues from the show that were about a week old. They're probably that far behind in reading their email.
