chilis restauraunts now has peanut sauces for dipping the wraps in. We ate at one in Cerad Hill, Texas and the manager was awsome! the sauces are in a different part of the restauraunt than where they prepare the food. The manager made sure there was no cross contamination and i did feel comfortable eatin there. I also aske at Carrabbas Itallian restauraunt and was told they had peanuts in their pesto sauce.

We've also had good experiences with our Chili's since those specialy sauces have come out. They seem aware of the issue and assured me it was kept separately.

Chilis is one of the places where the wait staff seems to have a clue. The two Chilis we frequent are in college towns and this might make a difference in who is hired.
In any case, we get a waiter with a blank look we leave.

We have had excellent service at Chili's and servers who are very allergy aware. The manager supervises our food being's one of the few choices we have.

We went to Chili's last week and they were even more accomodating than past visits. The manager came to our table and brought me a list of ingredients in their chicken nuggets and mac'n'cheese. He also said that he would personally supervise her dishes being made.
He gave me his card and said that anytime that I come in to please ask for him. It is a relief to see a restaurant that goes out of their way to help those of us with FA! [img][/img]

When I saw your comment regarding Carrabba's I became very worried. I eat there on a very regular basis and have been assured that they use zero peanut products. In order to ease my anxiety I emailed corporate and heard back almost immediately. They absolutely do not use any peanuts, peanut oils or peanut products in their restaurants. The pesto contains pine nuts and hazelnuts. I am PA only and I avoid pesto because I dislike it anyway. So for those of you who are PA only, Carrabba's is safe.

I guess all chilis are not the same.
We just went to one in Port Charlotte Fla and I had no idea they used peanut oil. We left but now I know I could call the chilis in my area and check to be safe. If I went to one of any chain, I would assume they are all the same..not true, good lesson.

I ate at Chili's in Copley Place in Boston last year and had ribs and they were tasty [img][/img] The ribs had no peanut ingredients.

That's funny--we just got back to the US for the summer and since our son can't eat at most restaurants in Korea, we took him to Chili's last night because it's always been one of our safe restaurants. The manager came to our table and assured us peanut oil and peanut ingredients are only in the Asian wraps. He also told us he's allergic to peanuts! This is in Skokie, at the Chili's in the Village Crossing shopping center.

We ate at Chili's with my tree nut allergic son. The manager came over to the table with ingredient lists and we talked about how the food would be prepared. He made us feel very comfortable.
