Okay, so somebody knew this question would come to me somehow after discussion was raised in another thread.
How soon after stopping, or not stopping (meaning you were still taking it) the birth control pill did you conceive your PA child?
I was on the birth control pill for 19 years. I stopped twice during my 20's for six month periods to see if "the pill" was causing my migraines. It wasn't.
Just before I got pregnant with Jesse (PA), I went back on the pill after a six month rest for one month. He was conceived within two months of me stopping it.
With Ember, I was not using any type of birth control at all.
Many thanks and best wishes!

2 months! and again, 2 months...
i have not taken the birth control pills in over 10 years. They caused major health issues! I have a 4 year old KNA and a 20 month old with PA, severe allergy to peas also. I was taking clomid, a fertility drug with both though.
Within 1 month (honeymoon baby) I was on BCP for 10 years. Probably not what you wanted to hear...
20 years. Still had two PA/TNA kids!
Kay
Kay Marks, why would you think your answer was something I didn't want to hear (or other people didn't want to hear as well)? I'm confused
This thread isn't about whether people had difficulty getting pregnant. It's about if they took the birth control pill and how long after they conceived their PA children or if they were still taking the birth control pill and managed to conceive regardless.
I know that there are a lot of people here on the board that did have difficulty conceiving their children and I am hoping that this thread doesn't upset them, but no, your answer, there is no *right* or *wrong*, just something that blipped into my brain to ask.
Best wishes!

I actually had just got a stronger rx (after 2 years), I was having a lot of problems with the low dose pill. I couldn't start it until the next Sunday, and we decided just not to use any BC and if we got pg, then we got pg (Well we did with PA ds. No bc pill before dd (KNA). No bc pill before conceiving this baby on the way either .

Baby #3 due June 24, 2004!
I was on the BCP for about 7 years before I had my first child(daugther) then used breast feeding as birth control (not recommended) and had my PA son 19 months later then used a combo breast feeding and rhythm method (again not best method) and had my last son 23 months after my second child's birth. After 3 kids I sent my husband to the hospital for *the-you-know-what-operation*. LOL
I was not taking birth control pills with my first child. However, I was taking birth control pills the second time that I got pregnant. I was also taking antibiotic for ear infection. They are both allergic to peanuts.
1 month for each (ds #1) and (ds #2). Tried to go back on the pill before ds #3 but after 5 days they made me terribly sick and that 5 days ended up screwing up my "schedule" for the next 4 months--otherwise ds #3 would have been about 1 month as well.
Very fertile here--can tell you the days that each was conceived
Edited to add that I was on BCP for 8 years before having ds #1
