Also remember that the Jell-O brand pistachio pudding contains almonds.
I received conflicting info from the manufacturer when I called last month. The first rep I talked with said that Kraft Foods always labels everything that either contains or may contain (through cross-contamination) one of the major allergens.
After going to the store and noticing that there wasn't a nut warning on the pistachio pudding, though, I called back. The second rep told me that they never label products that actually contain the allergens as ingredients, just ones that might be cross-contaminated. (The second rep actually laughed at me when I told her what the first rep had said. She was pretty rude.) I really got the feeling that the reps were making it up as they went along, because what they told me didn't match. For this reason, I do not trust their labeling policies, and I don't trust that the powdered Jell-O puddings are safe.
We do use the powdered Jell-O gelatins, though, because I've never seen a nut-flavored variety.

Wouldn't the Jell-O brand pistachio pudding contain only an almond flavouring and not the "real" thing?
We obviously don't buy pistachio pudding but haven't had any problem with the other flavours. Although, we have only bought, chocolate, vanilla and butterscotch.
