is this true in 2005?
Call the company,MommaBear.

Just wondering if anyone else has seen the Hugs packages without the "may contain traces of almonds" warning (in Canada)? I started noticing these a few months ago.
The Hugs always had the may contain warning before, but when I called Hershey's they couldn't tell me if they had changed where they were manufactured, just that if there is no warning, consider them safe.
Has anyone else called on these recently?
Saw two new types of Kisses at Shoppers Drug Mart. Both safe.. one had dark chocolate in it, one had white chocolate in it. Special editions.
I know it's hard to find safe dark chocolate so this is an option.
Other safe dark chocolate is Nestle Aero dark. Available at Shopper's too.
Also Cadbury Dark is 'may contain traces of tree nuts' so I eat it since it has no peanut warning.
I did a search - hershey kiss - under Manufacturers and about 20+ threads came up. I wasn't sure if you were in the states or Canada, so I didn't raise any of them. But it appears Hershey labelling is good in both countries.
I give hershey kisses to my dd, we have not had a problem with them. I only buy the plain milk chocolate ones though.
Good Luck!

Are these ok? My PA DS wanted some when we were shopping but I did not know if these were safe or not. Also, they have new varieties now- strawberry, one's with carmel in them, so are they all safe?
We have had the caramel and the plain ones with no problem. I did not see any allergen warning on the bag.
We have had the new carmel Hershey Kisses. No reaction at all for her. It is my understanding that the only safe Hershey Kisses are plain milk chocolate in their regular silver wrapper, and caramel.
Holiday Kisses are not safe any flavor. Dark chocolate are not safe. Hugs are not safe. Hershey's with almonds are not safe.
I have never heard of the strawberry flavor. I wonder what thats like.

Hi Angie and Hunter,
It may depend on what part of the country you are in. I bought Hershey's dark chocolate kisses in NYC and they were safe - no allergy warnings. I have also purchased the colour foil kisses many times at Christmas and they were safe.
I also eat Hershey hugs as there is no peanut warning on them where I live (I think there may sometimes be an almond warning but I am only allergic to peanuts, no almonds).
Hershey's labels very well, so I consider their products safe if there is no allergy warning on the packaging
