Sorry, should have posted earlier that S. 741 will not come up until mid-late afternoon...
I'm monitoring as well....
I did see the schedule, but my Lord how interesting can FASB be????????? I would have never guessed it could last this long.....sure am getting some education though!
Looks like we're at least 1 hour away from the vote, based on current pace....
Thankfully, I thought I would have missed it during a non scheduled conference call, but not only did I make that, I also was able to make my 1 hour commute
The bill has just reached the floor...Rep. Lowey is speaking!
at 7:21PM tonight...The bill has passed!!!
On to the president for signature!!!
ITS A GREAT DAY!!!
Wow, Rep Lowey did a great job!! I can't believe I actually had tears, not to sound all "emotional" (we like to keep those in tact) but to hear her speak, and she was advocating for me, and the welfare of my son, I'm thankful for her and others. I just wish I could have been involved alot sooner (that would have been impossible because my son wasn't even born, doh!)
LET'S CELEBRATE!
I'm raising a toast glass!!
Sorry, Canadian with a dumb question - is it a no brainer that the President will sign the Bill?
CONGRATULATIONS EVERYONE! I am SO happy for my American friends!
Best wishes!
Momtomitchell,
Clinking glasses w/you!
Don't fret about not being involved earlier....this journey is just beginning. There are many other things to work on to improve the lives of the food allergic community....
More about that in a few days...
ALT,
Not a dumb question....in this case, Bush Administration has previously expressed its support for the bill (along with the FDA), so it's a certainty (as much as it can be) that it will become law.
