It seems pretty dumb to reformulate a product to ADD a major allergen.
I could see adding nuts, because some people love them, but almond flour? Who loves almond flour?

Here is the reply that I received from Kellogg's. Do you think perhaps it is a form letter response (considering my email to them was in English):

Thank goodness I had a feeling that about the new box I purchased and actually called them. The lady on the phone was like "well there is no label because the ingredient clearly says almond flour". I was so angry!! I almost fed my daughter this product which she has grown to love. THIS TYPE OF RECKLESSNESS SCARES ME! How can they get away with making a change and not labelling? I tore into the lady on the telephone and she said that they will be labelling soon?!! Well, I hope for their sake soon is not too late. It was almost too late for me! Just so everyone knows, I live in Canada.

I am glad that your daughter is safe!! That is scarey, for sure.
I am not impressed with the form letter reply that I received. They couldn't even check if I sent my email in English or French. I did stock up on them but they are almost gone already. My son loves them too.

In the grocery store today, I noticed a new variety of Kelloggs mini granola bites - "almond flavour". It contains chopped almonds.
Therefore, I beleieve that the almond flour ingredient was added to the mini granola bites as they are all made on the same production line and there is a risk of cross-contamination.
Similar idea to the "peanut flour" ingredient that appears on some Nabisco cookies.

Exactly. I can't imagine that almond flour would be cheaper than wheat flour.
