I know that these used to have a peanut warning on them. Recently, I noticed that they make them with the Simpson's characters (I think it's the Simpson's anyway) and that they no longer have the peanut warning on them. I haven't called yet but I was just wondering if anyone else has called. Has anyone fed these to their kids?

When the smores ritz bits first came out- they did not have a warning- and I called- and they said they were safe- this was several years ago. Then all of a sudden there was a warning- I called and they stated that they were running them on the same lines as the peanut butter ritz bits. This is great news - I can't wait to call them, they must have changed lines or facilities again. Thanks for the heads up.

I just recently bought these for the first time. My son has been eating them with no problem. I didn't call on them because I never saw a warning on them (the Simpson's ones) - I have looked at them a few times before I finally bought them. Was there another (non Simpsons) version that had a warning?
They are made with little graham crackers, not the little Ritz crackers like the pb and cheese Ritz bits; plus they are all stamped with the characters faces, so I figured they must be made on their own line. Guess I will call Nabisco tomorrow and check! I just called Nabisco last week about their mini Chips Ahoy - they used to be labeled for pecan flour, now they are not. I was told that if there is any chance of an allergen contamination, they will label for it.

We've been eating them, too, with no problems. [img][/img] I haven't called. They are so good about labeling (CYA or otherwise, who knows [img][/img] ) that I figured if it doesn't say "peanuts" it must be safe!

We also had them in the U.S. this summer. My PA son is a huge Simpsons fan. He was pretty excited that he could have them (it turned out nobody really liked them and we didn't even finish the box, though).

watch for size of package.
Single serving package of smore's is processed on peanut equipment.

How were the Smores? I haven't seen them lately (all of the sudden) but guess what I did see in the store if there wasn't enough already:

It's kinda Canadian specific but not really because the box says "made in America". We purchased our first box yesterday of the Nabisco Smore's. I do have to say that I was a bit hesitant because right beside them, there was a box of small Ritz crackers with pb in them.
But everyone has been okay with them and gotten a good response?
Many thanks and best wishes! [img][/img]
