Our son has nut allergy, and my husband and I are both physicians; we've gone to 3 allergists til we found one who can answer our questions adequately, and give us clear guidance. Alton Milton, at the Cleveland Clinic, main campus, is great, and very well respected. He is in the dept of Pediatrics. Hopefully, he is not who you saw.
I was also going to recommend trying the Cleveland Clinic. I am meeting a new allergist in a few weeks - Velma Paschale. She is also out of the main campus.
I've had very good luck with Cleveland Clinic doctors.
Hope this helps a little.
