I have a fire in me to do something. I am looking for a few people who would like to join me on spreading the word about PA. I know that another Mom has written to Oprah with no response from the show. I want to write to Oprah, Dr. Phil and Montel Williams to try and get one of them to hear us and air a show on Peanut/nut Allergy. Anyone here interested in helping to write to them? I will get the email address's for us.....
We can be heard!

Count me in! With all the exposure these shows get, we could educate millions.

I have already e-mailed The Oprah Show too under "show ideas" a month or so ago. I think the more people who e-mail and request that she help educate the public on this issue, the more she may consider it.

If you supply the addresses, I am game. I also thought about Dr. Laura - she reaches a large audiance and is suppose to be "all about the children".
I have contacted several shows on several occasions, but I'm not against doing it again, and again, and again...

i'm not sure if this is the right place to post this so i will put it somewhere else also. today i was flipping through channels to get to cartoons - which is the only thing i get to watch with four kids! haha. i paused on "guiding light" for a minute and one of the characters (the guy dating or married to harley, if that helps...) was discussing his peanut allergy! then he mentioned someone else on the show who was pa too! maybe they are working it into the story line somehow. ??? if anyone follows soaps, maybe they are including the topic because someone on the show is affected by it or knows someone who is pa. anyhow...just a thought for anyone who is wanting to find celebrities to speak up on behalf of pa. joey
Ginger, hi! I'm new to the site and think that this is a great idea. Thanks for the websites and I'll do what I can to help.
My children are preschool age so my viewpoint stems from that, but I've been thinking for a while about trying to contact Sesame Street about dedicating an episode to PA or food allergies in general. Any thoughts or anyone interested in contacting them as well. If so, I'll look into it and post the information.
Ginger,
Thanks for the links, I'll write them too.
