Does anyone have any experience with Jello -- good or bad? I have avoided it for my son but wonder whether it's safe. I did find some old threads that frown on Jello, but I'm hoping someone has more recent experience and/or contact with the company.

Thanks!

I have used many flavours of Jello without any incident.
I have never phoned the company.

We've used Jello brand occasionally with no problems as well.

Yes, I recently contacted Kraft at 1-800-431-1001 and was told the regular response that if it contained any of the 8 allergens, it would be labeled as such. She also didn't know from what source the gelatin was derived (we also need to avoid shellfish). It is a Kosher product, so I don't think that they would be allowed to use shellfish (please correct me if I am wrong). Anyway, my son tried it and was fine with it. A.J. eats the Jello cups frequently and has never had any problems. Most recently he had the chocolate/vanilla mix.

Are we talking about Jello Pudding or Jello Gelatin? I've always avoided it all, but especially the pudding because of the pistachio flavor.

Hi Gale,
I was speaking of the Jello Gelatin, only, and would also be concerned about the pistachio pudding.
