I worked at KSC when I was a teenager. Many years ago, but anyhooo. If I remember correctly, the crispy chicken was coated with egg before it was breaded and the original recipe was not. That is the kind with the "secret" spices.
They were fried seperately. One used an open fryer and the other a covered pressure steamer.
That was before the days of chicken fingers. I do not know how those are cooked.

I contacted KFC, and got the same reply about peanuts that [b]lhua[/b] posted.
I also asked about dairy. This is what they sent me:
"Thank you for contacted us and requesting KFC product information. Based on information from our suppliers, below are the KFC menu items that contain the following:
MILK: All Chicken products (except Extra Crispy and Crispy Strips). Biscuits, Cornbread, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, gravy, pot pies, sandwich buns, sandwich sauces, cheese slices, margarine, dinner roll, baked beans, blue cheese dressing, 1000 Island dresssing, Ranch dressing, Many of our desserts.
EGGS: Original recipe chicken (bone-in), Orgiginal recipe filet, chicken nuggets, chicken littles, Dijon Mayo sauce, pepper mayo sauce, spicy mayo sauce, Tender roast sauce, colonel's sauce, honey mustard dippin sauce, coleslaw, cornbread, biscuits, Ranch dressing, 1000 Island dressing, Blue Cheese dressing, many of our desserts.
