I have yet to eat here, but I am seeing these places popping up all over the Chicagoland area. I went to their site to see if they have any information regarding allergens, and they have created a simple and easy to read chart for various food allergies. If anyone is interested...here is the link: http://culvers.com/Menu/AllergenInformation.aspx

Question--has anyone eaten at a Culvers? Is the food good? I am thinking that it is similar to a Steak and Shake.

DD (Pa/TNA) has eaten at the one in Lake Geneva WI many times with no problem. She does not eat the icecream products or other desserts, but the regular food (normally chicken nuggets, fries etc...) has been fine for her.
Anyone allergic or sensitve to dairy should be aware that Culvers butter burgers do contain butter! It makes them moistier I guess.

I've eaten at Culver's a few times. Pretty good, step up from McD's, about on par with Wendy's maybe a little better. I spoke with their corporate menu guru and he said that as long as their flavor of the day isn't a nut product, to go for their frozen custard...I have and its pretty good.

We have eaten at Culvers. The food was good but I guess I was expecting it to be phenomenal. Ds had absolutely no problem with their food--no reaction of any kind.

We love Culvers. There is one a few minutes from our house. PA ds has never had it. We don't let him eat out, he has other allergies as well. If we go to a sit down restaurant, we order him plain eggs, otherwise we bring his food. I wouldn't consider the Culvers by our house safe for PA, I have seen peanuts sitting in plain sight uncovered on the counter.
