I was at Country Donuts with my pa dd and noticed a warning sign for cross contamination. I was pointing it out to DD and was talking with her about awareness and looked at this as a teaching experience about eating out.
The baker noticed us talking about the sign and came out and asked if either of us was PA. When I told him about DD he expressed concern and interest and informed us that they are "careful", but that they do use nuts in the kitchen and felt it important to post the warning. Here comes the great part..... He told me if I ever wanted to get bakery goods from them to call the day before and he will make sure that our order is made ahead of any nut containing products and safe for DD.
