Me - peanuts - usually just hives, but sometimes lips and tongue swell
- sesame seeds - anaphylactic
- use to get hives from dogs, and difficulty breathing from cats, but animals don't seem to bother me any more
Son #1 - penicillin (actually mold) and latex - neither has been anaphylactic
Son #2 - penicillin, sulfa based antibiotics, can't take erythromicin. Had lots of ear problems as a child (I think about 7 minor operations tubes in, tubes out, repaired a hole in eardrum, removed tonsils and adenoids) Dr. THINKS ear problems were actually caused by seasonal allergies but he tested negative however the year we had him on an antihistamine was the first year with no surgery. He also broke his nose three times and had a hernia repair. (Poor guy )
Son #3 - allergy to an insect bite and an insect sting. Not mosquito. We aren't sure what tho. Wasn't anaphylactic but I carry epi-pen just in case.
Grandson - had a bit of a scare with him. He got rashes and diarea (sp?) from milk formula. He was put on soy formula and has now been weaned to milk with no problem. Yea!
Edited to add; Grandson appears to have asthma. DIL has not had him tested, she says he's to young.
