pJust to let those in the Toronto and surrounding areas, I have found a nut-free bakery in Thornhill, on Doncaster. It's called Cakes by Robert (http://www.cakesbyrobert.com). They do really nice birthday cakes, and host parties for kids. /p
pI will definitely be buying from them for my son's 7th birthday in October /p

FYI, there are also 2 other peanut/nut free bakeries in Toronto, both on Bathurst Street. One is called Amazing Donuts and the other is Richman's Bakery. Both sell birthday cakes. The donuts at Amazing Donuts are so delicious. They also deliver to schools with a minimum order of $50.00.
Thanks, Caterina! Also, Krispy Kreme is nut-free, and those glazed donuts are sooooo good

Karen, I heard that Krispy Kreme will be opening up a second shop in Richmond Hill. Do you know when? Are you close to the new location? It's so hard to get those donuts when the only store is in Mississauga, but we managed to get some through fundraisers and they are so good. My PA daughter was thrilled when she got one.

Hi Caterina. Yes, the new Krispy Kreme is due to open up in September. They've almost finished painting the outside It's going to be in the north end of the parking lot at Hillcrest Mall. I am very thankful, because driving to Mississauga every time we wanted them, was getting to be a pain!

Thanks for the info, Karen. I will be there in September for some donuts.
You and me both!
I don't know that area very well. Is it near Wonderland? We live in Scarb. and were thinking it would be great to stop off on our way home.
I just thought I would let you all know there is a peanut/nut free bakery located in Stouffville. I just found it myself and went in and personally gave them the twenty questions. They became peanut/nut free when they started to provide doughnuts for pizza lunches at neighbouring schools. They are called TR Bakery and are located on Main Street Stouffville and tenth line. They do not carry cakes but have some great dougnuts, bread and buns. (we have always avoided these in the past) I hope this information will prove useful.
