I forget the most important part.
The 504 lady tells me that the asst principal
said that they would not be able to make it a pnut/tn free classroom, because they is one student that willonly eat pbj for lunch.
I suggested that the one student that has to have pbj for lunch be taken out of the room to eat lunch. When he returnes he is to wash his face and hands and brush his teeth.

Hey Synthia,
As you can see I didn't make it out of town...I was too wiped out to make the drive, so I just stayed home.
Thanks for the phone #'s you emailed me...I'm going to contact them on Monday. I'm thinking that they probably will have someone here in Tallahassee anyway (Since this is the state capital)
So was Dianne of any help, did she get back with you this afternoon? You can email me if you want, I was just in here, and decided to post instead of mailing you.

Synthia,
That was a pretty vague notice wasn't it? It doesn't say "please try to refrain from bringing pnut products" or "DONT bring them". Were you satisfied w/the letter?
Hope things are going well...

Hello everyone
My DH and I with Litte V went to the school on fri to visit the class room.Because of the FCAT testing we were not able to per the Principle. We have asked to visit on this thursday. We will be viewing the video Just One Bite,And meeting the Par Proff.
There is still one parent stating that PB Is the only thing her child will eat.
The principle states that the Par-Prof has been trained and so has the teacher as well as veiwed the video.
The teacher has taken the two books I bought for the school(The Peanut Allergy Answer
Book, and Caring For You Child with Severe Food Allergies).
Iam useing the form called (Epinephrine Competency Skill Check List} from the Dept.
of Education in the State of Mass.
There are other forms in there as well that I will use.
I will post more later

If *I* was in a similiar situation (and have been), I would imagine that since I was providing much documentation of my child's needs regarding peanut allergy, a parent wishing to superceed accomodations being made for my child would be required to do the same? Maybe in the form of a "food diary", documentation that growth and development are significantly affected by such, letter of medical necessity form the physician, etc.
I would tend to think this (the parent's statement regarding peanut butter) is one of two issues: a "food preference" issue or a "medical necessity" issue. I could be wrong. JMO.
Again, not making recommendations for you of any kind, just stating what *I* myself would think and possibly do.
