redtruck,
They just make donuts, no cakes. But let me tell you, no other donuts taste like these! I don't know what they do to make them taste so different but they are just incredibly, incredibly yummy!!

Shannon, thanks for letting us know Costco carries Krispy Kreme donuts. The nearest Krispy Kreme to us is 45 minutes away. They just opened a Costco in our area just before Christmas and I haven't been there yet!
This is great news! (Sooo long New Year's Resolution)

I just discovered Krispy Kremes in our local Kroger grocery store! They sure are yummy and what joy it was to see my 3 yr old pa son's face as he tasted his first doughnut. With a great big smile, he said "No peanuts?"

I saw a small notice in our local paper a few days ago. It seems a Cranston R.I. company is going to be opening the franchise in CT, MA, and R.I. sometime in the near future. Our family is really looking forward to a new place to go for treats!

Please read my post on the manufacturers board about Krispy Kreme Donuts. I was at one of their shops today and they were featuring almond amartetto donuts! I was so disappointed!

I also purchased Krispy Kreme donuts recently and they had the almond amaretto donuts. Perhaps they use imitations stuff but it would be interesting to find out.

Hi- I emailed Krispy Kreme regarding the almond amaretto doughnuts and this was their reply:
"Thank you for contacting us again. This months' featured doughnut does have an almond flavoring, however, it is not nut based. Please let us know if you have any addtional questions."
When I orginally contacted them, I was told they were very aware of peanut/treenut allergies. I was sent a complete list of ingredients. Of course, I didn't know they had a doughnut of the month and now I will email back and find out exactly what that is all about. The initial response I received led me to believe they are very concerned about these allergies and would not use these ingredients. I'll let you know their response. Kelly

Could they be using artificial almond flavoring? Mmmm, how appetizing...
