The one in Medford, Massachusetts was supposed to open this past Tuesday. Has anyone gone yet?
Heather, I saw an article in the Globe about a week ago that said Krispy Kreme was having some trouble getting town approval because of the number of "curb cuts" they requested. This had to do with the drive thru window. Apparently the traffic on route 1 (it is route 1, isn't it?) gets really backed up because of all the drive thru windows (Dunkin Donuts and other fast food places). I was disappointed to read this because we have been anxiously awaiting the opening. The article said that if KK doesn't get the curb cut approval, they couldn't have a drive thru, and that they would abandon the project if that happened. I haven't actually driven out there myself, this is just what I read. Sounds like a Dunkin Donut conspiracy to me!
Ok, there's another article in the Globe this morning about KK. I was mixed up about the locations when I posted earlier. The article says that the Medford location is now open. The problems I read about before involve the Saugus shop. Sorry about the misinformation. Sounds like the Medford KK is open!!

Kelly,
Thank you so much for this information. I should be embarrassed to say we drove to the newly opened Krispy Kreme (45 min) drive and waited in line 45 minutes to get them. But boy were they worth it.That would be great if you could post the ingredient list or let us know did you get it through e-mail or regular mail.
Thanks,
Linda
I just heard that the Krispy Kreme franchise is coming to Ontario, Canada (yum yum, can't wait - I've heard they're the BEST). I hope they're peanut and tree nut free here as well! Thanks for posting the info!
WOW....i too, just heard they're coming to Ontario and didnt think too much of it until i read this thread...if they are indeed nut free, we will be at the front of the line!
Tim Hortons in Canada (and some States) is a definate no no for us (as are all donut shops here), so we look forward to krispy kremes arrival!
Thanks for the info Kaymarks!
I just received an email from krispy kreme answering and confirming the same thing, and i'm delighted and look forward to their arrival to canada as promised in an early January 2001 news release by them!
Does anyone know if they make cakes too? (thinking cakes that can be used for birthdays!)
Krispy Kreme doughnuts are the BEST!! OOH, even microwaved for about 10 seconds to get nice and warm with a hot cup of coffee.
Yumm!!!!

Stay Safe.
The Krispy Kreme franchise is only going to be coming to Ontario, Quebec and the Maritime Provinces, for now. Hopefully it will move out west soon (thinking of you, SharonA ).
