Wow! Thanks Jessica for coming here personally and apologizing. That took a lot of courage. As a mom to a PA 5 year old, I know just how hard it is for people to understand this situation, if they haven't had the experience themselves.
I hope you are able to do a follow up article someday, you seem like a dedicated journalist and you obviously have integrety (sic?)
thanks again!

Jessica,
I'm very glad you posted here and I hope you appreciate the urgency of writing a more balanced, more accurate article as soon as possible to try and undo the harm you have caused us.

Thank you, Jessica, for coming in here and posting an apology! =) I'm glad that through our jointed efforts, we were able to better inform and educate one more person, and hope that now you will in turn, help us to better educate others.

Jessica,
That did take a lot of courage to come on here and apologize and to admit your lack of understanding. It takes a lot for anyone to admit when they are wrong (especially to a bunch of angry mothers!).
Maybe we'll soon see a follow-up article. You probably have enough information from all those emails!
Thanks again for posting on our board.

Ms. Reaves,
I'm so glad you printed your response before I had an opportunity to read your article in the first place, or I'd be in orbit by now. My son recently had a reaction just from smelling peanut M&M's on another child's breath!
I do hope you will do a follow-up article with the focus on the increase and severity of these allergies, not on the deprivation peanut loving people suffer on our children's account!

Just wondering -- has anyone received a response from Time editor?

I also e-mailed Jessica and got a response. I e-mailed back with a request to write a follow-up article. It's great that she posted here and responded so quickly to all of us.

my son and I both e-mailed and did not receive personal responses but the response here is truly wonderful. I'm sure I didn't receive a response because I know I was a bit hot. Anyway thankyou Ms. Reaves for the apology and I do hope that we can all continue the progress in keeping our loved ones safe.
