My allergist told me not to use egg replacers.
I purchased a cookbook called BAKIN' WITHOUT EGGS by Rosemarie Emro. It has egg-free dessert recipes. Her daughter has severe egg and peanut allergies.
It has breads, cakes, cookies, brownies and muffins, pies, cobblers, ect. Some recipes are ok and some are delicious. It was worth my $20.
I am looking for some new recipes. If you would like to email me personally feel free too.

Count me in, too. I have a 2 year old with egg and PA. I was told not to use an egg substitute (which is made from egg products). I use an egg replacer made from potato starch that works well with bake mixes and pancake mixes. Has anyone found a safe commercial cookie snack for our egg/PA allergic kids?

Looks to me like Oreos are acceptable. No eggs and no nuts.

Hi,
I'm in the UK and don't know if you can get Kinnerton products in the US, but they are VERY allergy aware and don't ever use any nuts in any of their factories.
They have some products which are free from nuts and eggs.
For example, they have a birthday cake (I think this has been mentioned somewhere on here before) that considers practically every allergy.

I have just been on the Kinnerton website,
Here's the address
www.kinnerton.com
It's quite a fun site to explore, children will love it as much as adults. It looks as though it is only available in the UK, but maybe something similar to the smarties idea could be set up?
Take care,
Rachel

I want to share a site I found with lots of egg-free cookie recipe, just switch out the PB in some of the recipes with soy butter. It's under the allrecipes.com website. The URL is www.cookierecipe.com/directory/2372.asp
Enjoy!

Hi. We are in this boat too. DD is 2 (next week).
You may not be too interested in a lot of my recipes, though, as we are also managing more moderate soy and wheat allergies.
I agree with (I think that was this thread- LOL.... I spend way too much time on these boards!) the earlier post about Ener-G Foods out of Seattle. Great company with a lot of great products.
BTW, General Mills is very very proactive with their labeling practices, so anything under the GM label without a "may contain" warning for pn or eggs should be pretty safe.
Don't know what all this might include, but you should check it out.
