Would you get on a plane without Medic Alert bracelet?

Flying with R (8.5) for first time in 8 years tomorrow. While racing around getting everything ready I ask him if he has his bracelet on. Nope. Where is it? On my desk. Nope. And after scouring the entire house it is nowhere to be found. He says he put it in his pants pocket on PE day because he didn't want the other kids to notice it! So upend all his clothes in his drawers and everything in laundry basket - Nope.

It's 12:40 a.m. here. I have to get up at 6 to finish packing and get out the door and on the road by 9. I'm a nervous wreck flying for the first time with him (flew once as an infant) and all his allergies. I'm now terrified that something will go wrong and he doesn't have his Medic Alert.

What should I do?

Gotta Sharpie?
I am sort of kidding....but why not write the info on his body. ???
Or a Tshirt that he wears.
Just the first thing that popped into my head.
I would fly though.
Or you could also write the info on a card and have it laminated at a Kinkos - they are open late - and then have him wear it around his neck like dog tags?
Good luck.

How about some plain white stickers.
Like those stickers people put at certain events and write their names on, you could write all the info on the sticker and put it on his shirt....I'm pretty sure they come in a package of many, so you would have alot for your trip....just a thought..
I have some food allergy stickers, wish I had time to send to you..
Good Luck it will work out....
where are you going?

If you can't find the bracelet, well, don't cancel vacation because of it. I would actually do the sharpie thing. That may certainly be a deterrent to losing his bracelet again.
I've actually seen kid's at Disney World with "mom's cell..." written in sharpie on their arm or leg. I think it's a fantastic idea. Then there was the time that the police came to my sister's door saying that they needed to evacuate for the upcoming hurricane, and if they chose not to, could they please put identifying info on their body with a sharpie pen. :0

Are you going to be with your child? You are his medic alert mommie until the bracelet shows up. Put some information on paper and put it in his pocket.
Have fun
