My mother came to babysit our two kids yesterday, one has PA. We just went to watch our Viking's get beat by the Eagle's! Anyway, when we got back (3 hours later), there was a van in our driveway, not my mother's. Of course we were wondering whose it was. Well, she just had to invite her male "friend" over to watch the game who lives 15 minutes away. She claims he is not her boyfriend (she is 72 and he is 80), nor does she want to spend much time with him. She never told us he was coming over, which makes me upset. Then I asked her, after he left, if he washed his hands after he came in or if he had eaten peanuts before coming to our house. She said no to the hand washing and didn't know if he had any peanuts. She said "Well, he knows the rules about no peanuts." Now you tell me what 80 year old is thinking about not eating nuts when going to visit someone? I was so upset. I told her the house is the only place where I know he is for sure safe, because we make it safe for him. I don't just want anyone coming to our house, especially if we are not there. I have only met this person one other time, so it's not like he knows anything about us. What do your think?

My mother loves to pretend she forgets about his allergy. Or she will e-mail me and ask me if she can bring over some cookies. I tell her that I can't read the label over the internet so she will have to look herself or don't bring them. I can't guess just by the brand if they are ok or not. My DS has had PA for almost 4 years now, when will she get it?
